In order to get your Brazilian Visa - necessary for entry of most nationalities in the country - fill in this Visa Request Form and follow the instructions below very carefully. Once you pay the fee, bring or send the duly completed and signed form, your original documents, passport and proof of payment of the Visa fee to the consulate. If you send your application by mail, please remember to include a self-addressed pre-stamped envelope for the restitution of your documentation. For those who will participate in conferences, seminars or congress, the Visa type is VITUR (and an invitation or enrollment letter must be submitted as well). The required documents are as follows: a. Two (2) receipt pages from the VISA APPLICATION FORM per applicant, properly and completely filled in and signed by the applicant; b. A valid passport (at least 6 months prior to its expiration date), and with at least one blank page available for the visa stamp; c. Two (2) recent passport-size photos (front view, full face, either in color or black and white, with a light background - snapshots are not accepted); d. Travel Itinerary with proof of confirmed round trip booking. If traveling by land, proof of financial capacity to pay for one’s stay in Brazil; e. Proof of payment of the Visa fee; f. Any application that shows “self-employed” or “unemployed” must be complemented with a current “Balance Account Bank Statement” with applicant’s name and address; g. For non-Americans in the USA: copy of green card or valid re-entry visa into the USA or valid visa to country of final destination.
